Short answer: Thanksgiving 2026 falls on Thursday, November 26. Book your rentals as soon as you know your headcount — ideally two to three weeks out — and confirm delivery the weekend before. The core list is tables, chairs, linens, tableware and, for outdoor dinners, a tent. Everything below can be ordered from one place and delivered together.
Most Thanksgiving hosts do not run out of turkey; they run out of seats, surface and plates. A good rental list fixes all three, and a good timeline makes sure it is actually delivered when you need it. Here is the checklist we use when families call us in November.
The Thanksgiving rental checklist
1. Seating
- One chair per guest plus two spares — folding, padded or chiavari ($2.75–$5 per day).
- A kids’ table: one 6-foot foldable table ($14) seats six children.
2. Tables
- Dining tables: one 60-inch round ($13) per 8 guests, or one 6-foot rectangle ($14) per 6.
- A buffet table: one 6-foot table per 20 guests.
- A dessert or drinks table if you have 25 or more guests.
3. Linens and decor
- 120″ round linens ($14) and 6-foot rectangle linens ($12).
- Table runners ($3) and candle centrepieces ($18) for the autumn look.
- Napkins in a seasonal colour.

4. Tableware
- Silverware sets ($5 per setting) and dinner plates, so no one is washing dishes while guests wait for pie.
- Gold chargers ($2) for a more formal table.

5. Weather and comfort (outdoor dinners)
- A tent sized for your guests — see our outdoor Thanksgiving tent guide.
- Cooling if the tent is full: a mini, 12,000 or 18,000 BTU air conditioner.
6. Extras that make it a party
- A folding portable bar ($150) for drinks, and bar stools ($11).
- A JBL speaker ($120) for background music.

Frequently asked questions
When is Thanksgiving 2026?
Thursday, November 26, 2026 — the fourth Thursday of November.
How far in advance should I book Thanksgiving rentals?
Two to three weeks ahead is ideal. The week of Thanksgiving is one of the busiest periods for party rentals in South Florida, so late bookings have fewer choices.
What do I need to rent for a Thanksgiving dinner?
At minimum: tables, one chair per guest, and a buffet table. Most hosts also add linens and tableware, and a tent if dining outdoors.
Can I rent plates and silverware for Thanksgiving?
Yes. We rent dinner plates, silverware sets, chargers and napkins so you do not need to wash dishes for a crowd.
